About This Spot
Stepping into Amor Indio Mexican Restaurant feels like finding a quietly cherished spot in the rhythm of City of Industry’s bustling Valley Boulevard. There’s a natural ease here—a welcoming hum of conversation blending with the soft clink of glasses from the bar. It’s the sort of place where time slows just enough to savor not only the flavors but the simplicity of good company and thoughtful service.
This is a neighborhood gathering place that balances warmth and a gentle liveliness. Whether you settle into a cozy corner or near the bar where the bartenders craft colorful cocktails, the atmosphere invites you to relax, take a breath, and enjoy the moment. It’s not loud or rushed, but it holds an undercurrent of celebration that makes each visit feel like a small occasion.
The food here is a heartfelt nod to Mexican traditions with a comforting familiarity. Plates arrive generous and vibrant—like the playful mix of textures and tastes found in a well-loved burrito cut in half, or the subtle richness layered in mole dishes that linger pleasantly on the palate. Freshness is evident, whether in bright salads or expertly balanced salsas that set the tone for the meal. The mixed plates echo stories of shared dinners and easy conversations, where each bite encourages a pause to savor both flavor and company.
The cocktail bar is another quiet pull, offering more than just a drink but a moment of ease. Margaritas, micheladas, and house-crafted daiquiris complement the food as naturally as an easy chat, enhancing the relaxed, friendly vibe that permeates the space.
Amor Indio holds a subtle charm that resonates with those who appreciate dining as a gentle pause—a chance to nourish both body and spirit with dishes and drinks made and served with genuine care. It’s a spot where the blend of familiar flavors and attentive, friendly service makes every visit feel like coming home, just a little bit sweeter.

These people are amazing. Great food and great customer service. Definitely live up to their restaurants name. All 4 people i came across in there were super polite. Has sitting areas. It has a bar as well. I came in for a grilled chicken salad for lunch while i was getting unloaded next door. Less than a 1 minute walk. Salad was fresh and delicious.

It's been a few months since we've been there. My husband doesn't care for it as much as I do. I told him let's please go and I would treat him. I was craving their beef hard shell tacos. They were closed because of July 4th holiday. Apparently, they stayed closed for a couple of days afterwards. He said that is why he feels that they don't stay open long enough for business. If you notice their hours. However, their food and atmosphere is amazing. As well as their service. One time, we ordered for pick up. They were so nice. They threw in extra chips and salsa. Needless to say, I was kinda disappointed that they were closed. Next chance I get, I'm going back. Vrfig

Ordered a bowl of albondigas and the chile colorado plate. Holy cow! Shouldve ordered one or the other. I cant breathe now. The soup was amazing. Came out perfect temperature. Veggies were right between soft and crunchy. Meatballs were perfect. Really good bowl of soup for sure. Chile colorado plate was great as well. Full of flavor and beef was very tender. Rice and beans were perfect addition to smear on the flour tortillas. Good music and good ambiance. Staff are very polite and professional. My iced tea never got even down to half a glass. Chips and salsa were also good. Salsa had a bite but not too much. Chips had just the right amount of salt. Awesome experience here. Im gonna ask to load next door every week. Lol

Passed by here dozens of time before going in, should not have waited. Food and service were excellent. Atmosphere might not be for everyone, but it's the standard of what a good Mexican place used to be here.

If you loved their original.restaurant Csrambas in Alhambra, you will definitely love it here. It's like being in Carambas --from their delicious Strawberry Margaritas to their crispy chips and tasty salsa to their hot entrees...you just can't go wrong!! My favorite Enchiladas Suizas
